Although it’s easy to let your health fall by the wayside when academics, job demands, and other pressing obligations are calling, investing in your physical health at this stage of your life can reap great benefits.

Consider establishing care with a provider at Student Health Services or in the community, before you have an urgent need. Consider making a free appointment with one of the certified nutritionists, who can help you with healthy meal planning, even on a budget! Get your required vaccinations and think about the annual flu vaccine and HPV immunization as well.

Regular physical activity can reduce your risk of developing chronic disease—like type 2 diabetes, cancer, or cardiovascular disease—later on. Physical activity is also mood lifter, and can help you sleep well at night. And many outlets for physical activity can boost your social life!

Check out the many resources on and off-campus to help you maintain or improve your physical health while here at Oregon State University.
