Environmental health is the branch of public health that focuses on the interrelationships between people and their environment, promotes human health and well-being, and fosters healthy and safe communities.

At Oregon State University, there are policies and practices in place to promote well-being by limiting exposures to hazardous physical, chemical, and biological agents; to plan for natural and technological disasters; and to provide a healthy built environment for students, faculty and staff so that all members of our community thrive in our physical environment.
